從小看勵志書籍,畫線做筆記的Vicky老師

遠古時代的山頂洞人!? (:p) 你們會這麼做的舉手?

 Since I was a student, I have been drawn to the books which can inspire (激勵) people and to be specific(明確地), teach readers how to succeed in such fields as time-management (時間管理), interpersonal relationship(人際關係), business investment(商業投資), to name but a few (略舉一二)

Believe it or not, back in my junior high school days, I started taking notes of useful methods, underlined “valuable” tips and even jotted down (隨手記下) some inspiring sentences. 

Upon knowing this habit of mine, some students might respond, “Come on, Vicky, you are too serious a reader.  Why do you WORK so HARD even towards pleasure reading (thank god, not textbooks anymore) at the leisure time?”  This is because I believe: by repeating the words (both with my hands and eyes, or even in the form of a post-it 便利貼), I can best learn by heart (默記) the Golden Rule (金科玉律) and further put it into practice in daily life.

我手上現在有一本民國七十五年八月三號買的出奇制勝花招百出"。 第一章-- 善用頭腦創造奇蹟。第二章--另一種的思考法(way of thinking)Much to my amazement(超驚嘆地), 我那business smart的弟弟竟然前幾天把這本書還給我,並說哪天他成了大人物(a big potato)時,一定會感謝這本他國小時啟發他的書--- 永遠都有另一種方法(There is always another way out.)----
太神奇了,一本年紀比你們大的書!

即將離開補習班舞台, 現在重回圖書館的我。 覺得自己變的更年輕了!
  One afternoon in mid April, after more than a decade(
逾十年), I was back in the library, checking out several books.  It is indeed a milestone(里程碑) for me. In the first half of my life, I studied nothing but textbooks, English materials (教材) and devoted all my time to designing English programs (設計英文課程).  At present, I am ready to explore many different facets of the world in the rest of my life. 

 最後用高二前進學測講義中CLOZE的一段文字來下結論吧!並期許現今的大學生們都能培養每天閱讀的習慣(a lifelong habit)!

Reading is the means by which we obtain new ideas and concepts, and broaden our intellectual (智識的) horizons(視野).  People who stop reading will stagnate (停滯) intellectually.  They will fall quickly behind the rest of the world and find it hard to cope with life and solve problems. All young people ambitious for success in life should try to cultivate (培養) a love of books and the ability to read efficiently.
